What are Alphastars? The school year of 2020-21 will look a little different for Alphastars because our students must remain within their own bubbles and therefore are not able to help our younger students on the playground or our school with events such as the Fun Fair That being said, we are still hoping to offer opportunities for our Grade 5s to develop some leadership skills in their roles as the oldest students in the school. Our first project will be creating inspirational and motivating posters to put up through the school. As the year moves on, we hope to continue with other leadership projects. The skills that our Grade 5s learn and the experiences that they have will be valuable throughout their lives in terms of student government, activities, sports, relationships, any type of job and other areas. |

What are the commitments of a school leader?
1. Act as positive role models both inside and outside of school.
2. Be helpful, kind, inclusive and committed students with EVERYONE you meet.
3. Be a friend to all students and never cause harm to others.
4. Keep up with your school work. School work comes BEFORE any leader commitments.
5. Support your teachers and fellow students and help them when necessary.
Alphastars are great ambassadors for our school…they promote school spirit and contribute to a positive atmosphere for everyone.
